Celeste Donohue

I was born and raised in a funeral home in Philadelphia, where I learned early that life is short. Armed with that knowledge, I started performing at the age of twelve. By the age of twenty-three, I was on my way to Los Angeles to continue my performing career, initially as a dancer, which led to becoming a singer, actor, and comedian.
Some of the highlights of my performing career include being a dancer at Universal Studios, performing on The Tonight Show, recording an album of original songs, multiple performances at the House of Blues, and playing at all the major comedy clubs in Los Angeles.
As I performed around the city, I also picked up many skills along the way, working at a wide variety of day (and night) jobs. So many jobs in just about every corner of every industry! As far as day jobs go, my most successful ones were always in sales and I have won multiple awards for it. But it was writing that always came the easiest.
Initially writing for magazines for extra money, that developed into full-time jobs copywriting, blogging, and script writing. After many years of rewriting my resume, I finally got around to writing my first book about all these jobs I’ve endured while pursuing my dream of entertainment, and the lessons I learned along the way. My debut book Hollywood Factotum was written to entertain, help, and inspire.
As a way to further help and inspire others, my most recent achievement is becoming a certified brain coach. The combination of understanding how our brains affect our behavior, along with years of perspective and humor, allows me to help people have a better understanding as to how they can reach their potential, follow their dreams, and live a more fulfilling life.
